Ultimate "Frisbee" Clinics Coming to Bowen Island

BIFC is pleased to be offering two Ultimate “Frisbee” clinics in conjunction with Bonfire Ultimate Club.


The clinics will be held at the BICS grass field on Saturday, June 12 and Sunday, June 13 from 10:00 - 1:00 pm and June 26-27 from 11:30 – 2:30 pm. The clinics are open to players aged 10-15.


The June 13-14 camp will be run by North Vancouver's Ty Barbieri and Winnipeg's Samantha Roche. Barbieri played his Ultimate with Bonfire on the North Shore and the BC provincial team before representing Canada at the U20 and U24 level internationally. He currently plays for the Vancouver Men’s team Furious George and captains the UBC team. Roche played for the Manitoba provincial team before joining the UBC Ultimate team. She plays for Fusion in Winnipeg and attended Club World Championships in 2018.


The June 26/27 camp will be run by Bonfire’s Katie Wong and another coach TBD.


The cost of each clinic is $60.00 with participants capped at 20 to maximize the coaches’ ability to teach the participants. To register visit bowenfc.com registration page.


Bowen Island FC operates under the Bowen Island Sport Society which is a non-profit organization designed to support sport and recreational activities for youth and adults on Bowen Island. The Society began supporting rugby in the Fall of 2020 and now welcomes the inclusion of Ultimate.
